What Our Clients Say About Us

Frequently Asked Questions

What is CNC machining, and what parts can it produce?

CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machining is a subtractive manufacturing process that uses computer-controlled cutting tools to shape metal and plastic parts to precise specifications. It can produce everything from simple shafts and brackets to complex multi-axis components with intricate geometries, used across automotive, medical, aerospace, and electronics industries.

What materials do you work with for CNC machining?

We machine a wide range of metals and plastics, including aluminum (6061, 7075), stainless steel (304, 316), titanium (Grade 5), brass, copper, mild steel, and engineering plastics such as ABS, Nylon, PEEK, Polycarbonate, and Acetal. Our material experts can advise on the best choice for your application and budget.

What tolerances can XTJ CNC achieve?

Our standard tolerance is ±0.005mm, with precision CNC machining achievable down to ±0.002mm using our state-of-the-art 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines and CMM inspection equipment. Tighter tolerances are available on request for critical applications.

What is the typical lead time for CNC machining orders?

Standard lead time is 3–7 business days for most orders. Rapid prototyping can be completed in 1–3 days. Production runs of 100–1,000+ parts typically take 7–14 days, depending on complexity and volume. We offer expedited service on request.

Do you accept NDAs to protect my design IP?

Yes. We gladly sign Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) before reviewing any CAD files or design data. All uploaded files are handled securely and never shared with third parties. Submit an inquiry and we will send you our NDA for review.

What file formats do you accept?

We accept all standard CAD formats, including STEP (.stp), IGES (.igs), DXF, DWG, STL, and SOLIDWORKS files (.sldprt / .sldasm). PDF 2D drawings are also accepted alongside 3D files for GD&T references. Our engineers review all files and provide free DFM feedback within 24 hours.

What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

We have no minimum order quantity (MOQ). We support single prototypes through to high-volume production of 10,000+ parts. This flexibility makes XTJ CNC an ideal partner for product development, low-volume manufacturing, and full production scaling.
